To be responsible for the department in the absence of the asst. housekeeper.
To implement training of all staff ensuring that they all understand the purpose of their role and standard required
To demonstrate initiative at all times.
Should lead and support the associates
To produce own work in accordance with quality guidelines.
Makes rounds in the Linen Room twice daily.
Reviews the telephone logbook, the night Laundry and Valet logbook and other logbooks concerning the assigned area. Acts immediately on issues/concerns requiring prompt attention.
Checks the general appearance of subordinates
Gives the Day Floor Supervisors reports needed for the day.
Issues pass keys.
Supervises and helps in the exchange of employees’ uniforms.
Checks Lost and Found inquiries to see if items were returned in the day before.
Supervises in sorting and hanging the uniforms.
Supervises in separating soiled uniforms. F&B and guestroom linens that need repair.
Supervises in separating soiled uniforms in need of spotting and to Outlet Manager concerned for investigation.
Ensures that there are enough supply of rags for the floor and public area personnel’s use for each day. Sends soiled rags to Laundry.
Attends to uniform, F&B and guestroom linens that need rewashing or re cleaning and hands these over to Laundry.
Conducts guestroom and F&B/guestroom linen inventory. Spot checks F&B and guestroom linen.
Supervises and helps in the inspection, issuance and storage of F&B and guestroom linen.
Supervises and helps issue linen to guest floors during high occupancy.
Works closely with Evening Supervisor, Day Linen attendant/Supplies and LRA/Communication.
Keeps updated on the emergency, fire and Lost and Found procedures of the Hotel.
Ensures the cleanliness and orderliness of the Linen Room/Storeroom.
Supervises the conduct of inventories of uniforms, F&B, guestroom linens and supplies.
Communicates closely with the Assistant Housekeeper on any problem related to assigned area.
Secures babysitters for guest and keeps a list of approved babysitters on hand.
Maintains and updates records of associates uniforms and all files pertinent to the assigned area.
Confers with other Linen Room Supervisors assigned o mid and evening shift.
To ensure that all public areas cleanliness are up to the standard.
To ensure that general cleaning scheduled for daily, weekly and monthly in public areas are followed.
To ensure that public area supplies and equipment’s are sufficient and in good order.
To monitor the cleanliness of all storerooms and guestroom pantry areas
To ensure that cleanliness in the guestrooms are in accordance with the hotel and municipality standard.
To be aware of the departmental budget for both expense and revenue.
To attend on every trainings conducted by the hotel.
To be responsible for the associate appraisal every six months.
To be able to train all new associates according to the hotel standard.
Performs other duties as maybe assigned from time to time by the assistant or executive housekeeper.
