Role Execution:
To provide market leading swim expertise and the motivation to enjoy swimming to our membership base.
To exceed Fitness First member expectations through ensuring attentiveness during their swim class, assisting them with correction, instruction on drill execution that will maximize water understanding and stroke development.
Demonstrate a high standard of instruction and technique in the execution of all swim training in accordance with the Fitness First Swim Academy guidelines and SOPs.
Support all club events and actively promote Fitness First Swim Academy services.
Maintain relevant communication channels with members and swimmers in order to accommodate feedback/criticism and ensure members feel welcome and valued building rapport with both.
Use members’/parents’ names when interacting with them – politely introduce yourself with members/parents you do not know. Get to know both the children’s and parents’ names. Building these relationships to keep retention of swimmers.
Have a clear understanding of our business’ game plan and winning ways
To encourage continuous progress, achievement and growth.
To enable each student to realize their potential by testing their limits.
To maintain a high level of customer service and safety in and around the pool.
To ensure our brand standards are upheld in and around the pool and club.
Training and Development:
Undergo and complete certification for Swim Training as necessary. STA Level 2 Award to STA Level 2 Certificate, STA Level 2 Award in Safety Award for Teachers and ongoing Seminars – (Risk Assessment, Customer Care, Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults).
In Depth knowledge of My Zone including using the belt at least 2000 MEPS monthly.
Have a genuine interest in all of the latest developments in the swim industry and ensure that your product knowledge is up to date at all times.
Consistent 121s biweekly with NAM and CGM to focus on the business and to ensure continuous professional development.
Consistent Monthly QCCs with CGM to ensure continuous improvement
Minimum Performance Criteria:
Fully understand company Fitness KPIs.
Wear full Fitness First uniform provided at all times.
Conduct Group Training and or Private Swim Teaching (quota of 200 swimmers per month).
Completion of all administration requirements e.g. CoursePro, Manual Register, Assessment Tracking Sheet, Online Register.
Full utilization of success diary i.e. critical path, business plan, 1-2-1 Figures, diary.
Maintain brand standards in and around the pool and club.
Provide market leading swim training expertise.
Maintain a minimum of 75% occupancy in the classes. Able to manage your class schedule to ensure your average occupancy in the class.
Follow up from Assessments with swimmers who have either not booked or did not attend an assessment.
Performance Administrative Functions:
Monthly Goal Setting complete with CGM and NAM (1-2-1).
Update CoursePro Assessments daily.
Assist FOH staff with information and administrative functions.
Inform all private swimmers of forthcoming expiry of private lessons and complete the needful contract extension form with all pertaining documents i.e. medical or travel evidence to support the extension request.
Inform all swimmers of forthcoming expiry of group swimming lessons and assist with the ‘top up’ payment as required to complete the swim season.
Inform all members at the beginning of their course of the terms and conditions of the no cancellation policy.
Inform all members at the beginning of their course of the terms and conditions of the make-up policy, specifically that they must inform you of a cancelled session prior to that lesson and that a makeup lesson must be rescheduled within 2 weeks of the missed lesson, subject to availability.
By the 25th of a calendar month, provide a copy of your next month’s business plan with all new swimmers and renewal swimmers. All should be provided with accurate dates and figures in order for to manage the overall business for the next month.
At the end of a calendar month, provide all private swimming lessons ‘white copies’ with all client signatures to Swim Academy Administration staff so that they can audit all lessons prior to commission approval.
Effectively Liaise with all other departments and club members:
One Team – Promote efficiency and team spirit in all departments.
Own It – Take ownership of your swim classes and club i.e. inform your CGM and/or NAM of any maintenance or general issues that occur.
Live the Brand – Promote our brand and your club at all times, even when you are outside of working hours.
Attend weekly Club Meeting.
Attend weekly Swim Academy Meeting.
Attend quarterly Product Development Launch.
