A nursing assistant has an important role in delivering patient care and supporting healthcare professionals at SAINT ANTON HOSPITAL WARSAW .The assistant nurse is critical in supporting and assisting the nursing team in our healthcare settings. They help with patient care and ensure a safe environment. They work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide quality care to patients and families.

Responsibilities:

• Supports nursing team in providing direct patient care

• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing

• Helps with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients

• Monitors and records patient vital signs

• Reports any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team

• Assists in administering medications under the supervision of a registered nurse

• Ensures accurate medication administration and documentation

• Creates and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients

• Follows infection control protocols

• Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms and common areas

• Ensures proper disposal of medical waste

• Assists patients and their families in coping with illness or injury

• Offers emotional support and actively listens to patients’ concerns

• Provides comfort during difficult times

• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of patient information

• Documents vital signs, medication administration, patient’s response to treatment, and changes in their condition

• Works collaboratively with registered nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals

• Actively participates in patient care planning

• Contributes to interdisciplinary meetings and discussions

Requirements

Diploma in relevant field or Caregiver training program or Bachelor Degree in Nursing
