Logistics Officer

• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting logistics operations, particularly regarding import and export permits for restricted parts, and ensure all stakeholders are informed.
• Maintain accurate and current records in both the system and physical files for all inbound and outbound shipment documentation.
• Oversee and provide guidance to the team of Logistics Assistants, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
• Manage the logistics team in terms of morale, discipline, safety, performance, and training to foster continuous improvement in productivity.
• Ensure unserviceable components are photographed and correctly packaged, ready for transportation.
• Perform Dangerous Goods (DG) declarations to ensure compliance with transportation rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field from a recognized university.
• IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training certificate is desirable.
• Knowledge of logistics management using multimodal transport and international trade.
• Expertise in warehousing management.
• Familiarity with customs tariffs, documentation, and clearance procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid UAE driving license is desirable.

Work Experience:

• Over 5 years of experience in logistics and stores management within a technical industry.
• Experienced in managing teams under heavy workloads and ad-hoc scenarios.
• Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and operating manuals in alignment with business needs, regulations, and quality standards.
• Strong cost-orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to support business objectives.
• Proven ability to contribute to and achieve business strategy and KPIs.
